Got to be honest the cover looks like a right dog's- dinner! Was this drawn by a twelve year old? Everything is either distorted or disfigured. The tiger's right front leg is wrong.(wrong perspective) It should be behind its front left leg....this tiger's neck is far too long, and the Tiger yawning has a dislocated lower jaw...animal at the front-front right leg in wrong perspective...figure at front on back of ?, has dislocated arm...bodys here are to short also..there are lots of other things wrong but I'm already too bored to list them all here....

Wrong Love, Right LIfe

Although momongamy is heralded as a pillar of societal stability, Jan Bauer delves into the reality that love cannot be confined to moralistic prognostications nor legislative pronunciations. Bauer concentrates on why love affairs happen, without judgment of those who enter into one. This book is sorely needed by those who find themselves in an affair beyond their control and by those who feel victimized or betrayed by someone else's love affair. It brings a rational understanding and clarity to an unseemingly irrational occurence. It may not lessen the pain, but it goes a long way to help in the healing process.

ANY impossible Love...

This book is brilliant and unfortunately out of print. It discusses what makes "Impossible Love" impossible to live, impossible to understand, impossible to give up, and impossible to forget. Impossible Love relationships hold a tension of opposites... loyalty to love and it's impossibility in an outer life.... Married/unmarried, teacher/student, doctor/patient, therapist/client, old/young, among others. The book discusses why we might stay in a relationship that brings chaos, confusion or pain long after we realize it is time to move on. In the past, these relationships were called "tragic, romantic, doomed". Today they are called "a neurosis, an addiction, or a projection". Impossible love "jolts us into awareness" through it's pain and hopefully brings a depth and meaning to our true Self in the process of healing.

This book will not provide solutions nor answers. It WILL provide insight into the involvement of the psyche in these relationships through the lens of jungian psychology and archetypes. This perspective helps explain why they are such painful relationships. Why they seem to take over our life as we once knew it. Why the 'ups' seem almost euphoric and the 'downs' feel devastating and these extremes seem to cycle. The author sheds light on the meaning of these relationships... ie. "What for?" "Why now?" "Why me?"

Must Reading if You Are in an Untenable Romantic Interest or Thinking About One

I first learned of this book from a friend who is a well respected therapist. She told me a friend of hers who was also a highly regarded therapist that become obsessed with an old boyfriend she reconnected with at a high school reunion. She was happily married at the time, but couldn't get the old flame out of her mind. Then she read Impossible Love and it freed her from the obsession. She highly recommended the book.

I got a copy and started reading it, but couldn't get it to it, as it was too dry--UNTIL, I became--or almost became--involved with someone else. Then, I picked it up again and could see why she was so impressed with this book. I saw the deep wisdom that must have come (she doesn't say) from the author's own involvement with an impossible love relatiionship. The book still isn't a page turner, but when you're in the grip of thinking about someone else or involved in an "impossible" relationship (defined as one that doesn't work for taboo reasons, such as you're married or it's a teacher and a student), it gets you thinking and looking at what is driving the relationship and you in fresh ways. I've been in therap--both couples and individual--am a big reader, and done years of spiritual practice, and still this book was helpful and interesting.

After purchasing his first Tarot deck in 1973, Mark McElroy began terrorizing other neighborhood nine-year-olds with dire and dramatic predictions.Today, he calls Tarot "the ultimate visual brainstorming tool," and shares techniques designed to help others ask better questions, see more options, and achieve their goals.

He is the author of Putting the Tarot to Work, Taking the Tarot to Heart, What's in the Cards for You?, and the new I Ching for Beginners (all Llewellyn). He is also the author of The Absolute Beginner's Guide to Tarot (Que).

Mark holds a B.A. and M.A. in creative writing and composition from the Center for Writers at the University of Southern Mississippi. He has more than two decades of experience as a public speaker and corporate trainer. He has written, produced, and hosted classroom, video, and online training for some of America's biggest companies, including SkyTel, MCI, Office Depot, Staples, and many others. I find these cards very soothing ...

I read the other review of these cards and I have to disagree. I'm Irish and a practicing Druid and when I hold these cards I feel the fae dancing all around me. The box they come in is of very high quality, with a flap that snaps shut when you close it. The book that came with mine is 158 pages and is in English only. At the beginning, each card has the creator's commentary, then important symbols, interpreting the card, and finally questions to ask. I have found the information to be very helpful in leading me to use my own intuition when using these cards.
Some of the cards are very dark in color which can make finding the clues to the meaning a little harder to find. The card stock is not what I would expect for a more expensive deck. But this is truly my favorite deck and when they get too worn to use I will purchase another deck.
I have done several readings for friends and family and everyone is so surprised at how accurate the reading is. Most now ask me to use this deck to do their reading. I wouldn't recommend this deck for a beginner but you don't need to be an expert at reading them either.

About the Author

Joe Sinclair is a practicing educator who also spends his days as an author and athlete. He holds MS degrees in physical education and school administration, as well as EdS and EdD degrees in educational leadership.

While he remained active in sports throughout his forty-six-year career as an educator, which included serving as a highly regarded superintendent of schools in various North Carolina districts for more than twenty years, it wasn’t until after his sixty-second birthday that he decided to become a marathon runner. He has since made his mark in the world of running.

The author of Putting Life on the Finish Line and The Marathon Called Educational Leadership, Sinclair has also written the children’s books Lulu the Snow Goat, Queenie and Little Joe, and Willie the Woolly Worm.

He and his wife, Claryce, live in Statesville, North Carolina.

An authentic voice

Joe Sinclair speaks with an authentic voice. He has the credibility of a person who has resumed running and knows what he is saying. I especially like the opening chapter titled Offsetting Speed with Wisdom as We Get Older. He covers both walking and running and has sage advice for each sport. This book is so practical and contains all the real tips including skin, nutrition, physical adjustments for the entire body and developing a program. I highly recommend this book and endorse Joe Sinclair!
