Tom Ang is an award-winning photographer, author and TV broadcaster. He has written many bestselling books for DK, including The Digital Photographer's Handbook, which has sold over half a million copies and has been translated into 20 languages. He has exhibited internationally and was a university lecturer in photography for 12 years.

When you see "DK" on the outside you know something good is on the inside.

At first glance this looks like a coffee table book. My coffee table would give up the cat for this book.
There are many Photography books that usually focus on the authors/editor's favorite people or subjects. These are good but you always find something missing. This book however only sorted by time has just about every popular picture you could think of. Unlike just a coffee table book we get pretty in-depth information of the photos, photographic methods, the photographers and the subject of the photos.
If you have any favorites there is a good chance you will time them. There is a better chance that you will find new favorites. One of mine is under the heading of China's new wave there is a picture of a library that makes me feel at home.
It comes with a glossary and index.
