Rshaid does an excellent job helping the reader envision how schools can move from a traditional, teacher-centered classroom where the instructor is the sole repository of knowledge to a new learning paradigm where students are motivated to acquire the skills they need to become lifelong learners. This shift from an emphasis on teaching to a laser-like focus on learning becomes the fundamental component of schools for the future. But, the author doesn't remain content with just telling us how to make this critical transition--rather, he shows us through a myriad of examples. This book is a must-read for teachers, instructional coaches, curriculum directors and parents who envision something better for their children.
